Braeburn BGC

At Braeburn BGC we offer programs that encourage children and youth to become leaders in their schools and communities:

  • Afterschool programs at 3 school sites (The Elms Junior Middle School, Braeburn Junior School and Thistletown Collegiate) and Lunch & Learn Program emphasize homework completion, physical literacy, art and creative expression in the context of friendship, fun, self-respect, personal growth and respect for others
  • Breakfast Club gives children a healthy start each day and prepares them for success
  • Summer Day Camps for children and youth present fun, challenging learning opportunities in sport, movement, creative expression, nutrition, leadership development, life living skills and academic skill maintenance.
  • The Club creates opportunities each year for young people in Grades 11 and 12 to become peer tutors in our Lunch & Learn Program and Afterschool Programs.
  • Community Gardening, understanding and care for our natural resources is practiced by all groups each spring, summer and early fall.
